For over four generations, our family has lovingly cultivated the Art of producing the finest Extra Virgin Olive Oil. What started as a modest endeavor for personal use has flourished into a revered tradition – cherished by friends and connoisseurs who appreciate the unmistakable taste of true excellence.

Our harvest remains intentionally limited: each olive is carefully handpicked, honoring the land that has nourished us for centuries. To meet growing demand, we also distribute selected high-quality Italian extra virgin olive oil, sourced from trusted producers in the stunning region around Lake Bolsena – the Heart of Etruria, nestled between northern Lazio, Tuscany, and Umbria. We personally know every producer, ensuring that only the finest oils make it into our collection.

Our Roots

A Journey through Time

Our story is woven into the early 20th century, when my great-grandfather Giuseppe Checquolo embarked on an extraordinary journey. Driven by ambition and a deep sense of responsibility, he traveled three times to the United States, each time returning with more experience and resources to secure a better future for his family of five children. A man of great intellect and determination, "Nonno Peppe" left his picturesque hometown of Capodimonte with a clear goal: to uplift his family and preserve their roots with pride.

Upon his final return from America, he acquired ancient olive groves, their majestic trees standing as silent witnesses to centuries of history. Through hard work, skill, and unwavering PASSION, he cultivated the land, ensuring that each olive produced extra virgin oil of exceptional quality and outstanding flavor. His dedication laid the foundation for a tradition that lives on to this day.

My Italian grandmother, Teresa Checquolo, and my grandfather, Igino Catarcia, lovingly nurtured this legacy, passing down their knowledge and their expertise to my parents, Francesca & Erich, who in turn entrusted it to me. When the time is right, I will carry this heritage forward to the fifth generation.

The bond between my Italian mother and my German father – a descendant of a historic merchant family in the wholesale toy trade – began in 1972 during their university studies in Munich, Bavaria. Although I grew up in the heart of Schleswig-Holstein, I spent nearly every school holiday with my Italian grandparents at Lake Bolsena. These experiences forged a profound connection to two seemingly opposite yet equally captivating worlds: the wild, charming Baltic Sea and the rolling volcanic hills of Etruria. Both places feel like home to me.

In many ways, olive oil runs in my veins. It enriched every meal – from rustic toasted bread to vibrant salads and delicate seafood dishes. But to me, this “elixir” is far more than just a Culinary Delight: it is heritage, family, and the timeless essence of home.

Our Extra Virgin Olive Oil is the purest expression of this tradition. Taste it – and love it – like we do.
